Get more from the tools you already pay for
Most small businesses already pay for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, but use a fraction of what’s included. Files are still emailed back and forth as attachments. Shared drives are a maze of folders named “New Folder (3)”. Former employees still have active accounts, and some licences are paid for but assigned to nobody.
We fix that. Our certified team sets up your cloud platform properly from the start, or cleans up an existing one, so it runs smoothly, stays secure and scales as you hire. The result is less downtime, better collaboration and a better return on money you’re already spending.
Microsoft 365 services
For businesses on Microsoft 365, we handle:
- Tenant setup and hardening: secure defaults, MFA, conditional access and admin account protection.
- Exchange Online: mailboxes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, mail flow rules, spam filtering and domain authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC).
- Teams: teams and channels that reflect how your business is organised, plus guest access rules and meeting settings.
- SharePoint and OneDrive: document libraries, permissions, syncing and a sensible replacement for the old office file server.
- Device management: enrolling company laptops and phones so policies, apps and security settings apply automatically.
- Licensing: choosing the right plan for each person and reviewing it regularly so you don’t overpay.
Google Workspace services
For businesses on Google Workspace, we handle:
- Admin console setup: organisational units, security policies, 2-step verification and alerting.
- Gmail: routing, aliases, groups, shared inboxes and domain authentication.
- Google Drive and shared drives: structures that survive staff turnover, with sharing controls that prevent accidental exposure.
- Meet and Calendar: room calendars, resource booking and meeting policies.
- Endpoint management: basic or advanced device management for laptops and mobile phones.
Migrations done carefully
A migration is one of the few IT projects that touches every single person in your business, so it has to be done carefully. Our proven process keeps disruption to a minimum:
- Inventory everything: every mailbox, shared mailbox, alias, calendar, shared folder and third-party app that connects to your email.
- Pre-stage the data: mail and files copy across in the background over several days while people keep working.
- Communicate clearly: staff get a simple one-page guide covering what changes, when and what to do on the first morning.
- Cut over after hours: DNS and mail records switch over outside business hours, and the final changes sync.
- Day-one support: we’re available to help with phone setup, Outlook profiles and anything that looks different.
Security built in, not bolted on
Cloud accounts are the most common target for attackers, because one stolen password can open up email, files and financial conversations. Every environment we manage gets MFA, protection for admin accounts, alerts for suspicious sign-ins and external sharing controls. For businesses handling sensitive client information, we add data loss prevention, retention policies and encryption options to help meet privacy obligations.
Don’t forget backups
Microsoft and Google are responsible for keeping their platforms available. You’re responsible for your data. If an employee deletes a folder, a former staff member’s mailbox is removed, or ransomware syncs encrypted files to OneDrive, built-in recovery options may not go back far enough. We recommend and manage a separate cloud backup for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Learn more about our backup and disaster recovery services.
Choosing between the two
If you’re setting up for the first time or considering a switch, we’ll give you an honest recommendation. Firms that trade heavy Excel models or Word documents with clients usually prefer Microsoft 365. Teams that work mostly in the browser and value simplicity often love Google Workspace. We explain the trade-offs in more detail in our guide: Microsoft 365 vs Google Workspace for small businesses.
